Default Introducing myself

Hi ladies,
I think I am a thin cyster. Are thin cysters underweight or just not overweight? I am at my "ideal weight." My bmi is about 20 (5'10" and 140ish lbs).

I'm 30. My androgens, thyroid, fasting glucose and cholestrols are all normal.

However, I do have oily skin and have battled acne since puberty. My skin was super clear while I was on Yasmin and using retin-a micro, but I had to stop both of those to start TTC last year. Now I'm dealing with the acne again.

I also have mild hirsutism. Lots of fine blond hair on my jawline and chin and a few darker wirey hairs that pop up here and there. Also, I have a few dark hairs on my breasts and below my navel.

I find it odd that I have these symptoms but that my androgens are normal. Anyone else in this boat?

I've been TTC since 6/08. My cycles vary from 29 to 40 days. I ovulated most months but had to use provera to start my period one time. I did one round of clomid, but I ended up with a 6.5 cm cyst on my right ovary. I have lots of small cysts on both ovaries.

Yesterday, I had an ovarian drilling procedure, along with a laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and d&c. My tubes and uterus are fine.

Unfortunately, I also have high FSH (12.9 on cd 3). My LH is very high (18.8 on cd 3). So I am pretty concerned about my egg quality/quantity.

Looking forward to meeting you all and sharing this journey.

Laura

Do you know the actual number of your total testosterone? Most labs consider <80 normal, but really, most women will have problems if it's above 60. It also has to do with the ratio of estrogen to testosterone. If your estrogen is very low, it doesn't take as much testosterone to cause a problem.

My total testosterone was 38 ng/dL. The lab's reference range was 2-45 ng/dL.

The good news is that you ovulate on your own. I've done 3 rounds of clomid with increasing dosages each time and have yet to ovulate. Good luck to you!
