I was just diagnosed yesterday 5/13 with PCOS. A little background...my husband and I were married back in May of 2007. We decided to start TTC back in October 2008 but once I went off the birth control I started feeling pretty awful. Very uncomfortable. Gained ten pounds despite no change in activity or diet. Bad acne. Irregular periods like I've always had since I was a teen. I decided to go to the doctor after being tired of not knowing what was wrong with me. My wonderful family practice doctor sent me for blood work and I met with him yesterday and got my diagnosis. My levels were all good except my LH and FSH. Now I'm metformin 500mg, once a day for the first week then twice a day from then on. We'll see what happens from here.
I'm so glad there's a site like this, because there's nothing like talking with other women who understand.

Nice to meet you, Im fairly new to the board, well not really new, I just forgot about it and found it again, lol. So Im still learning to navigate it lol. I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2005 and it is definately a constant battle, and it is life changing, but you have to have faith, and you have to realize that this is not WHO you are, but what you HAVE and you can still win with PCOS. Welcome Cyster!
