Default Introduction

Hi...I am new to the boards here, but not new to PCOS. I was diagnosed almost 9 years ago after spending (wasting) 3 years TTC my DD, now 7. After having DD I was very bad for a while, pretty much ignoring the PCO S. But, I have recently made a committment to managing the condition. My DH and I are TTC #2. We did conceive naturally 5 years ago, but I had a m/c at 13.5 weeks.

Now, I'm back on met. I'm currently up to 1000 mg/day, but will be up to 1500 in another week. So far I've been working with just a midwife who has agreed to do 1 cycle of clomid. If that doesn't work then I'll move on to a RE. Meanwhile, my blood tests came back with a very hyper thyroid. I don't know whether to wait for the RE or to just to get to a regular endocrinologist on that. I think I will probably make an appointment with a regular endo so s/he can monitor the met as well.

So, there's more about my medical history than probably you want to know. I look forward to getting to know you all.

Mari

Welcome, Mari! Sounds like you're right where many of us have been. I would go ahead and make the endo appt. I don't have a thyroid problem so I can't comment on that, however if you're trying to conceive, get all of your meds in order before you start taking clomid-you want your body to be working at it's best when you start on the clomid Keep us posted!

Good advice. Thank you all for the warm welcome. I will definitely make an endo appointment ASAP.
