Default Introduction and Microgynon Question.

Hi girls,

I've not been on here for AGES!! Should quickly introduce myself.

I'm Christy, 29yrs young, and live in Shepparton VIC. I've been using this site for about 5 years. I'm married and have two daughters, Beth was conceived after using Clomid and Metformin, Courtney came quickly and without any help medically. I'm currently on Spiracton for fluid and swelling, Diabex XR for pre-diabetes, and Nexium for my stomach. (I feel like such a druggo!!)

I've been on practically every pill on offer here, but after being kept on high dose pills for bloody ever, my GP has placed me on Microgynon 20.

This is the lowest does i've ever been on and I am just wondering if anyone else has been changed over. My GP said she has been looking into new research that suggests some PCOS woman thrive on a lower dose in regards to moods etc.

I'm definitely keeping my fingers crossed on that one!! (so is my hubby)

So, i'm having my first period on the Microgynon 20 and it's barely there. I've never had such a light, barely existent period in my life. To the point where I could just wear a liner easily. It's freaking me out big time.

Any thoughts?

Hi, sorry for such a late reply!

How long have you been on that pill for? My doctor (and it seems many other doctors) recommend you are on a new pill for at least 3 months to let your body settle down on it before making any changes again. Of course if you have more serious side effects (I know migraines is one...) they will change you rather quickly. If you haven't been on it 3 months yet, leave it for that long and see if your periods change!
