atkins is too drastic for me, I like fruit and other good carbs
south beach is better it introduces low fat and more carbs
IR is a perfect "balance" of the ratios
I do a mix of all three.
Sometimes I might eat breakfast like an atkins person
then I might lunch like a south beacher
but I IR all the time
I dont count calories, fat or total carbs for the day , I just try to make sure when I am eating a meal its under 30 net carbs and has at least 15 or more grams of protein in it, if it doesnt I add more protein. Although I dont count fat or calories or the total carb, watch that it is low calorie , low fat and low carb, I know crazy, but it works for me. I also keep a food diary that way I know every day what is going in my body and how it makes me feel, it has helped me control my body and not vice versa. |
