Arrow IR medicine (micronase??)

My doctor has just put me on a medicine called Micronase. I know it is for IR and Diabetes type 2 but is that anything like Metformin aka: Glucophage? I posted about Micronase in another thread but never had any responses. please let me know if you have heard or know of anything about this medication that I will be taking!

i found out that the Generic name for Micronase is Glyburide if any one has heard of that maybe i could get some more help...

I was on Micronase back when I was a teenager. I didn't think it was still prescribed. If I'm understanding it correctly, Micronase actually lowers your blood sugar levels, where Met helps your body use the insulin you make more effectively. Met is far superior, in my opinion, for Type II diabetics and Cysters. I'd ask your doc for it.

Okay, so i actually should be taking Met, I was taking it and my doctor thought that it would be better for me to take Micronase does it help with weightloss at all? Yeah your right about the blood sugar dropping everytime i take it my blood sugar drops really low and i get sick.

It never helped me with weight loss. But it has been about 20 years since I took it.

But it did give me low blood sugar problems too when I took it.
