Default IR or not??

Hello
I picked up lab results on my daughters today and am confused about their GTT results...I have read on here what is "normal" but that they could be on the high end of normal and sttill be IR?

2 of my 4 girls have been dx PCOS.....3rd is only 12 and 4th is 10
I had the 12 year old tested along with the 2 older ones because i see her showing some early symptoms.

any help you could give understanding these results is very much appreciated.
they all had 2 hour fasting glucose tests done.

12yr old:
fasting -- 4.5 mmol/L
1 hour--- 4.6 mmol/L
2 hour--- 5.3 mmol/L

15yr old:
fasting--- 5.0 mmol/L
1 hour---6.5 mmol/L
2 hour---6.6 mmol/L

19yr old:
fasting--4.7
1 hour--4.3
2 hour--3.5

The 12 year old and the 19 yr old are both on meds -synthroid
(levothyroxin) but nothing else for any of them. 19 yr old has appt with endo on 23rd. 15 yr old has been prescribed BCP but she hasn't started them as I have learned they mask the symptoms and I want her to see the endo first..( I am taking her lab results with us on the 23rd to have endo look at them)

sorry for the length of this
thankyou again
Jackie

Default

Are these results the glucose or insulin results? They appear to be insulin, but wanted to double check Also, if you have the lab normal ranges for the lab where the test was done, that makes a difference too.

I can share with you what my results were, and the lab ranges where I went:

My results:
Fasting - 26
1/2 hour - 123
1 hour - 211
2 hour - 107
3 hour - 39
4 hour - 17
5 hour - 18

My Lab's ranges:
fasting < 17
1/2 hour - 20-112
1 hour - 29-88
2 hour - 22-79
3 hour - 4-62
4 hour - not available
5 hour - not available

So unless your lab's ranges are different than above (and they could be), your children do not appear to be IR.
