Ladies,

our support group now has a website.

Its a bit basic but we have one!

Our Chairperson - Helen also (not me) is wary of chat rooms but other than that I think its okay.

Any suggestions you might have to improve it greatly appreciated!

Helen - I've just had a look at your website and it looks really good.

I was wondering a couple of things, just out of nosiness really, who is it that takes the calls? Do you employ someone or do your volunteers take turns at manning the lines?

What kind of events will you be organising?

I thinks it's a wonderful thing you are involved in. I hope you get a lot of support and are able to help many couples.

The only thing I think the site would benefit from is some form of message board, I don't know if that is too expensive to add in, or if you would just want to keep the contact more personal in the form of a call.

Hey Deeds,

I dont think we want to put up a message board just yet, it really is just a site for information and where to go from there. We dont want people to post anything too contriversial i.e. bad mouthing clinics or doctors or to promote one clinic over the other as we are just a support group.

In answer to your question about the helpline there are about 4 of us who take it. My nights are Monday and Tuesday night and if the others cant do it then I take it to give them a break.

Some nights you get no calls and other nights, your swamped. But thats the name of the game.
