isn't it funny?? After I picked up my new medicine yesterday I got to thinking.
It seems as though all of the drugs except one can be found in most magazines...
Adderal--you see the small child now able to sit still in class (for my adhd)
Yasmin--seems to be the bcp of choice, almost the 'cool' one to be on (pcos)
Abilify--grandpa not seeming to be himself, forgetful?? alzheimer's (adhd, bipolar, horrible memory-esp. short term)
Aricept--see above about grandpa (same reason as above)
Namenda-same as the abilify and aricept
and the new one
Spironolact-used as a diruretic for people in congestive heart failure (hopefully will help with excess hair and with hair loss)
i really need to go back on something for mood swings and i am kind of hoping that the spiro will help with the insomnia...
yes i have rambled, but i just think it is interesting how drugs can be used for different things than what is printed on the usage list....love it when the pharmacist looks at you funny when they tell you about your new drugs.
good luck to us all................Lisa |
