Arrow Itching Problem

Okay...I know that this may sound weird, but I have a problem. I use to take Yasmin but because my hair was falling out a lot my endo switched me to Kariva. Well, every since the switch about a month ago my left breast has been itching like crazy. Maybe because I scratch it a lot but there is a sore now on my breast and sometimes on my bar there will be white stuff....but only on the left side. I haven't used any new detergents or anything so I am not sure what it could be. If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated....

Hi, there,

Do you think maybe your skin is just dry there? I have problems with my breasts getting dry, and boy, do they itch. Of course, there is not a discrete way to scratch, especially at work or in public. Have you considered trying Cortizone during the day to help with itching, and then putting lotion or Vaseline on them at night to help with moisture? That's what I try to do, and it seems like that has helped me.
Hope this helps!
Have a wonderful day!

I don't want to scare you, but just wanted to share some important information with you. There is a form of breast cancer called Inflammatory Breast Cancer. It can cause itching of the breast along with other symptoms. If it doesn't get better, I would get it checked out just to make sure. Here is a little info:

Symptoms of Inflammatory Breast Cancer, IBC
One or more of the following are Typical Symptoms of IBC.
  • YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAVE A LUMP TO HAVE BREAST CANCER*
  • Rapid, unusual increase in breast size
  • Redness, rash, blotchiness on breast
  • Persistent itching of breast or nipple
  • Lump or thickening of breast tissue
  • Stabbing pain and/or soreness of breast
  • Feverish breast
  • Swelling of lymph nodes under the arm or above the collarbone
  • Dimpling or ridging of the breast
  • Flattening or retracting of nipple

You should seek help from your doctor... It may just be a dermatitis reaction or it could be a blocked milk duct or an infection... I would definetly give the DR a call it very well might be nothing but I'd rather be safe than sorry...

Good luck!

Thanks for the info about breast cancer, never thought of that...

Is the itching all the time or set times in your cycle????
I notice mine can get extremely itchy around ovulation or AF...

My itching isn't really around a certain time--it is usually worst at night time. It is really odd though because it is only my left breast. Last night it itched really bad and it always itches in the most unconvient times. I don't know about the breast cancer thing--I did have a swollen lymph node but that was on my neck and I have had sharp pains in my chest, but the doctor said my joints/junctions are inflameed...but I don't know. I will try and think about when it itches though and maybe I can tie it to my cycle or something...
