Very possibly right.

If so, apart from medically-prescribed treatment keep the area cool and dry.

If possible avoid wearing pants and certainly avoid pantyhose. Loose skirts, together with cotton panties (or none, if you can tolerate that) are a big help. If you spend a lot of time sitting on a sweaty-type seat, then a cushion can be a help. Standing and sitting with legs apart isn't elegant, but it helps keep things dry.

i got my merina out a month ago, so df and i have just started using condoms. Would that have something to do with it?
I've got some cream that helps hormonal imbalance in intimate arears, and that works for a bit. The most irritated part is around my bum, so i'm really confused lol thanks for your ideas. i really wanna get this sorted

Could still be a yeast infection even though it is near your bum. I just had one there not too long ago. I had to go and bare my bum to the Dr. for him to prescribe a cream since the over the counter stuff wasn't working.

You may want to try putting anti-yeast cream or ointment on it. I've used either Monistat or generic brand of athletes foot cream from Walmart that has the same ingredient as monistat in it. Otherwise, clortrimozole is also good. I had to get the prescription strength of that to get rid of mine.

Good luck'

I don't think it is anything you did. If it is yeast, that naturally grows on our bodies. If you were "sweaty" that can cause the skin to be irritated and if the conditions are right, then your natural "yeast" can get out of whack.

Or, just like Eva said, maybe you have an allergy to latex or are sensitive to the lubricants that are on the condoms.

Serrayray, have you looked at the area with a mirror? Take a good look, and call your gynecologist with the description. You should then get in for an office visit ASAP. I was having trouble in the nether regions starting a few wks ago, and had to get prescription meds and creme from the doctor once she found out the cause (under a microscope).

Sounds like a yeast infection to me...when DH and I used condoms in the past it would make me itch everytime. You may be allergic to them. Try the lamb condoms some people say these work great if you are sensitive to the regular one. If you think it is a yeast infection try the Monistat Ovual that you insert with the cream for the external parts. It is pricy but it works for me the best without all the mess and you don't have to wait to night time to do it and it works alot quicker than the 7 day ointments and you only have to do it once!!! The Vagistat one dose-I hate this one it is like Petroleum Jelly and everything down is greasy for a week LOL!!! This is just my opinion. Also if you go to the Dr. they can give you Diflucan which is pill and works great without any mess at all but Make sure they give you two one to take now and one in 7 days it always works the best this way for me. I was the queen of yeast infections but they just kind of went away on there own when we stopped using condoms and BCP. But now after having DD I am back on BCP and I don't have them so who Knows. Good luck to you. If you are really concerned I would call my GYN.

Anytime my DH and I used condoms I would get a yeast infection or a UTI. It was miserable. Plus I would always get itchy down there if I'm not careful about what kind of soap or fabric softener I used. I have to use dye free, scent free and soap for sensitive skin.

Sounds like a yeast infection. Condoms don't like me either. I would go to the dr just to be sure!
