Joyanna - He's beautiful! And oh how real your delivery just made this pregnancy for me. I'll be praying for you and your family - as I'm sure it will be hard for you all until he is home with you!

Joyanna~ congrats on the birth of your little man. My Ds was born early too and weighed in at a little less than yours, and he was in the NICU for 3 weeks. He was a little older than yours so I am sure that had something to do with his short stay. It is very hard. I think I cried everyday for a while, especially when I was wheeled out with empty arms. I does get easier. It is a hard journey, but so amazing to see such a tiny little guy grow into a strong boy. You and your family are in my prayers. Hoping for a speedy NICU stay and for being home for Christmas!

thanks ladies, yes his name is Fletcher Van Williams. i too think he is so beautiful, but i might be a little biased LOL. i have actually decided to come off my wellbutrin and start trying to pump out any 'bad' milk so by the time he's ready to start eating i can give them my milk. he really needs it, so i will do whatever, you know, that mommy thing! if he was reg size and close to term i wouldn't worry with it, but he's so little, he needs every advantage. i just have to find out how long it will take to get out of my milk, and see if i can get anything.

Joyanna- Congrats on your baby boy! I pray that he continues to grow and get stronger by the day. I can only imagine how difficult this is for you. Hopefully your little man will be home with you and hubby for the holidays! What a blessing!
Sara- I too love the the title of this thread!!! Makes me tear up!
AFM- We had our first baby shower yesterday. It was all of my husbands family. These little girls will be very well dressed that is for sure! We got tons of clothes needless to say and sleepers, blankets etc. The bigger items we got was a swing, a bath/spa, highchairs/booster seats and the baby monitor. We got some cash which is nice! We are gonna use it to get some of the odd and end things we didnt register for like crib mattresses, nursing pillow etc. Speaking of cribs...we get those today!! YAY! and DH hopefully will start putting them together tonight and I can start setting up the nursery and unpacking some of the gifts! Very exciting. We have 3 more showers. I am kinda hopeing people get us more of the necessities at our other showers. Bottles, diapers, the odd and ends. I think I am going to have to make up reasons to go out just so I can dress them up in all the outfits they got!! LOL!

Joyanna-Congratulations on the arrival of Fletcher. He is a cute little guy. What a blessing it will be if he will be able to come home by Christmas. My prayers go out to you and you dh while you have to be so far away from him. I also pray for his growth and strength. Good luck with the pumping.
Brittany (actually everyone having girls)-My Mom, Sister, SIL, and I went shopping this weekend. We were checking out the baby clothes and let me say that you are so lucky that you are having girls. I could not find but about 2 outfits that were so cute for a boy. Dressing this little guy will be tough!
AFM-We were not planning on having a shower until after we bring our baby home. Just a little cautious about the possibility of the bm changing her mind. Well, now I am having a church shower in a couple of weekends. My SIL's shower will be on Sat then mine the next day. I feel kinda bad about our showers being the same weekend. Will this be me trying to over shodow her? There is no other time before the baby comes to have it though. Any thoughts on this?

Have you looked at Carter's? I love the stuff they have for boys!! Target actually carries the Carters brand and they have some cute stuff. My MIL went to a Carters outlet store and found some really cute stuff too. I was afraid my boy would be dressed in all sports teams...actually if it was left up to DH he would be! Hey girls! Had a terrible scare last night! I was dead asleep when I was awoken about 2:30 by a stabbing burning sensation in my right side. It was unbearable. I woke DH up and was about to tell him I wanted to go to the ER when I realized the pain wasn't as bad when I was up. I ended up sitting up for an hour last night until the pain went away because if I laid down I was in tears! After a lot of research, I'm thinking it was either RLP or major gas... It wasn't contractions, and the baby was moving all over the place, even kicking the exact spot where the pain was. Today is better, but still sore and achy. Luckily I have an appt tomorrow and will be asking about this for sure!

Joy - Congratulations chicka!! Fletcher is just adorable and I'm so glad to hear that he's doing so well. I'll be praying for you and DH cuz I would imagine that it's hard to leave the hospital empty handed but it looks like your little guy is a fighter so hang in there! AFM I had my baby shower on Saturday and it was over and beyond what I expected! I loved seeing all my friends faces and one of my good girlfriends actually surprised me by flying in from NY just for the weekend. And my girlfriend who threw me the shower actually had her cousin come in to take professional pictures of the whole shower. I'm so grateful to have such loving and caring friends who really care about my baby. Today was supposed to be the big day for the 4D ultrasound but the little guy was squished up all the way on my placenta so we couldn't get any decent images. Will try again next Monday. I'm still amazed on how fast time has flown by. Hope everyone else enjoys the rest of the week!!
