I just bought the book yesterday. I will do my best to come back and give some info after I get finished with it.

I want to get this book too, but I'm curious now, what foods/food groups does she say to avoid? Sometimes dies get frustrating when entire groups of food get cut out ie. dairy, all flour, all sugars, etc.

There aren't any food groups she tells you to avoid, in fact she agress with you Chelsae. Her main points are with organic foods and eating the items from all the food groups that are going to do you the most good, if that makes sense. I think my favorite line from the whole book was "Even if you only do half of what I say, it will make a difference". It isn't an all or nothing diet, but the more you adjust the more the benefit.
Personally, I'm slowly making some of the changes she suggest as I can/get the willpower to do.

Oh that's terrific! I get so bummed when entire food groups are cancelled out. It makes things too hard to stick with for a long period of time - or life for that matter Thanks!

I'm about half way finished with the book now. There are parts where she sounds a bit alarmist, but she's right. It is sad to me that our world has gotten so bad that the truth sounds alarmist. I've already read the chapter where she tells which things you can't have and the main thing she wants people to cut out is processed foods and even then she says that if you have to have it at least make smarter choices about which processed stuff you buy. She also really really has a hatred for high fructose corn syrup (we all know she's right). She does not advocate cutting out any food group, she says that diets that have people do that are one of the major problems that have caused everyone's hormones to be out of whack in the first place. I don't think I can cut out all the things she says to cut out (I don't want to completely get rid of artificial sweetners, for instance, because I love my crystal light and I love having a cup of decaf coffee once a week or so and I need 2 splendas for my coffee), but I am going to try to slowly work at it.

I was reading Parade this morning and on the very last page is a special offer for parade readers where you can get this book for free all you pay is $4.95 for shipping and handling. It's at www.jillianmichaels.com/parade but be careful because i think it signs you up for her advice until you cancel it. So as long as you cancel the online advice thing after 14 days you get a $4.95 copy of the book!
this book is certainly worth reading....i've always been very skeptical of the "organic bandwagon" but i must admit....a lot of what's in this book makes complete sense. i hit up my local farmer's market today.....

I bought this book a few months ago and have been following a lot of the suggestions in it. The one thing that I think has made a huge difference for me was sticking to organic dairy. I've been struggling with acne along my jawline and on the sides of my neck ever since I went off the pill three years ago. It got even worse when I was pregnant. Well, since cutting out "regular" dairy in favor of organic dairy, my stubborn acne is all but gone. Unfortunately, I still have the red marks that the acne left, but the painful pimples are completely gone.
What I like about this book is that it doesn't just focus on what we eat, but on how we live overall. In particular, I liked seeing info on how skin care products and cosmetics can also mess up our systems. It amazes me that so many harmful chemicals can be sold to us in our creams and perfumes!
