I have arthritic knees, left hip and right hand. It's not noticeable but I know that's what it is. If I don't pop a glucosamine a day, I crunch and ache. I know that the treadmill took my knees from me along with the weight.

I have a lot of joint pain also...but I think for me it might just be because I am the heaviest I've ever been. Glucosamine can help a lot or maybe joint supplements or something. Also if you exercise try to make them low impact exercises so you don't hurt anything, Swimming is a good exercise if you have joint pain and helps strengthen them from what I've been told. HTH

Hell yes. In fact, my joint pain was so bad that I couldn't even walk up a flight of stairs without bursting into tears. Some nights I was in so much pain and discomfort that I could not sleep. Whenever I got my (incredibly irregular) periods, I felt immensely better. For four years I went to doctor after doctor and was treated so dismissively. I weighed 140 lbs when I first got really sick, but I gained over 100 lbs that year as my symptoms got worse and worse. The doctors I went to saw a fat, sometimes hysterical (thisi was hormonal too, I'm usually on the reserved side), young woman and ignored everything I said. Eventually, when I did not get my period for six months, I, personally, without the help or recommendation of any doctor, set up an appointment with my sister's gynocologist. It took me less than a week to get a diagnosis and high dosage birth control, which has almost completely eliminated all of my joint pain. What really angers me the most is that I told every doctor about all of my symptoms, even the embarassing ones. It was pretty humiliating as a fourteen year old to tell mostly older male doctors about my menstrual problems and then have them brushed off or met with outright scorn. Even if they did not make the connection between the two (which they should have, because I made a point of it each time), they should have referred me to a gynocologist based on my hormonal symptoms alone. I could have those four years of my life enjoying myself instead of being in constant pain and basically bedridden at times.
After years 20 years of bouts of lower back problems I was finally DXd with Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction. I was also DXd with arthritis is my neck a few years before the sacroiliac dx.

I have extreme joint pain. I've been to see all kinds of doctors and no one can tell me whats wrong. All the tests come up negative. I think the joint pain is from my sugar levels. When I've had a hard day of keeping my levels low, the next day I hurt all over. I have a hard time getting out of bed, My joints in my fingers hurt, my knees hurt, my wrists and elbows hurt, my ankles hurt..I hurt all over. Its been like that for years and no one can tell me whats wrong. But I've noticed when my blood sugar is in check, I don't hurt as bad.

I've got some fairly new (last few months) joint pain in my knee. I've got an MRI next Tuesday to see what's going on. They're hoping it's a cyst that can be drained but it may be artritis. Their possible diagnosis confused me because the type of cyst that it could be (bakers cyst) is caused by things like arthritis so I think there may be a different underlying problem. I guess it's just wait and see time
I've had some serious ankle and knee pain for the last two days... it's very mysterious. My joints are normally creaky and crack a lot, but never in this much pain. They feel swollen and filled with glass... very reminiscent of a few years ago when I had erythema nodosum.
Can this really be blood sugar related? I've been eating like crap the last few days (well, not so bad today, now that I think about it), but I used to do that a lot more and didn't have this.
Does anyone have any other ideas? I'm totally baffled. What can I do?

I have had hip problems since i was a toddler. My parents took me to see a consultant but nothing happened about it. I still have very stiff hips and knees and quite often have knee pain. My mum has had a hip and knee replaced so i think its probably hereditory more than anything.
Yes. I have always had knee pain when walking a ways and even wore knee wraps as a kid. I now have ankle pain on the inside of my legs and my feet and hands swell some at night.
