Misty - That's a great start!
You all have probably seen these before but I just wanted to recommend the Quaker Chewy Granola bars in the Dark Chocolate Cherry flavor. I LOVE chocolate but I have a problem controlling how much I eat, so I decided I will eat one of these bars a day so I always get to have a little chocolate, without going overboard and it really does satisfy my craving! The rest of the day if I want a snack I eat fruit, veg, or yogurt. Anyway, the granola bars have 90 calories, 2 grams fat, and are 2 points and a nice little treat!

Well, I was right to be nervous. Up a half a pound. Not bad considering, but I would rather be down. Oh well, back to behaving myself and tracking better!

The chocolate ones are really good and so are the peanut butter ones. They have also just come out with some new flavors. The rasberry ones are really good. I haven't tried the apple or the caramel ones yet, but my mom says they are really good too. They are all only two points and they have 35% of your daily fiber in 1 bar.
I have a question. Does anybody know where I can get a list of core foods? I thought about trying core for a week or two, but since I think it will require more planning, I wanted to know what foods where considered core before I started.

Good: lean protein, eggs, fat-free dairy, fruit and veggies freely (except bananas, corn, potatoes I think once per day)
Non-core: Full-fat protein and dairy, grain products except for whole grain (I think there is some limit on whole-wheat grain too), sweets, junk food
You can have 35 points worth of non-core food in a week, plus your AP (activity points) on the day that you earn them. |

Holy cow! It's been awhile since I've been able to catch up! So sorry to be MIA!!!!
First and foremost - I won't be offended in the least if anyone wants to start a July/August thread and update the spreadsheet. I'm spending less and less time on the computer these days. If you want to do the spreadsheet for us, PM me your email, and I'll email you the spreadsheet. It's just a cut and paste to get in on the beginning of the thread.
I'm not sure when I'll get to updating the spreadsheet... sorry!!!
But, you gals rock!!!! It looks like so many of you are doing great, and providing such great support for each other!!! Keep it up!!!
Me - I've not really been on plan, but not misbehaving lately. I completed two triathlons the last two weekends that I'm extremely proud of. The training is so much fun, and actually feels better on my body than doing just running each day. I've been looking at food choices lately more in terms of the fuel I need for my workouts, which is interesting in itself. I've never really looked at % carbs/%protein/%fat composition of foods, or the Glycemic Index. I'm finding all of it fascinating.
Well, things are picking up here at work. I'm working the US Mtn Bike Cycling Championships this week, and riders are starting to crash!!

You have to do some looking around to find them. It might be in the message board section. Quote:

The off the couch to5k program and I love it. It is becoming my new addiction! My question to you is did the weight start coming off alot faster? And Right now I am still at one mile. Did it take awhile for your endurance to build up? Quote:
