I was wondering if anyone else has ever been on this bcp. I'm on yaz right now but I've been very irritable and moody on it so I went to the dr today and she prescribed me Junel FE. It's a generic brand and I'm hoping that it'll work out better for me. So I just wanted to know if anyone else has taken it and what your experiences with it are. Thanks!

Hi there. I've been on Loestin Fe (same as Junel Fe) for quite a few years now and I LOVE it. I started on Loestrin about 5 years ago. It was wonderful but then about 2 years later, I started to have more hair growth and my doctor suggest Yaz. I was on Yaz for about 2 months of hell. Every symptom Yaz is supposed to help (that I wasn't even experiencing in the first place) started...cramps, long periods, depression, acne, etc...I basically felt horrible for 2 months. I finally stopped taking it, made an appointment with my gyno again, and then switched back to Loestrin. I don't believe I have had any weight gain caused by Loestrin. I have short periods (usually less than 3 days which is really nice!)and no cramps ever.

I hope Loestrin/Junel Fe works well for you!
