Default Just Clomid

Hi! I was just diagnosed today and starting Clomid 50mg for the first time. I want to wait until I get my AF, which I can feel it arriving soon. Has anyone here been on just clomid and been successful? My MD won't put me on Metformin because she said I don't fit the criteria. Has anyone here had twins with Clomid?

Baby dust to all!

Metformin recommended for PCOS infertility ONLY if cyster is gluclose intolerant

Routine Use of Metformin for Ovulation Induction in PCOS is No Longer Recommended

A MUST READ for Clomid Users

Thanks for the above links Kat, i had no idea that met was now not being considered for non-ir women? Im non-ir and was prescribed it but have since stopped taking it, i am on my first round of meds this cycle and was wondering if i should go back on the met alongside the letrozole.
So is this the general concensus now? met only for IR pcosers?

Thanks Kat.

I was took clomid (days 5-9) and now have a 4 year old!! It worked for me. I was taking provera also (so that my cycle would come). TTC#2 so far no luck with clomid (150mg). I also asked my dr about the metformin, but she said, I do not need it right now. So hopefully this next round will work.

Thanks for all your posts which is giving me hope. I'm still waiting for AF to arrive. It's taking forever, but I know it's coming. I'm having a lot of cramps and breast tenderness, which I have had for over a week.

So, I finally got my AF this weekend and FINALLY starting my first cycle of clomid 50mg tomorrow. When is the best time to take it? Should I take it in the morning, supper time, or before bed? The doctor and the pharmacists didn't really give me any specific instructions. Any other advice from those who have taken clomid? I have my thermometer ready and bought a bottle of Robitussin to help with the CM. Anything else I can do to increase my chances?

Hi Dimples! I took Clomid 50mgs last month for the 1st time. I found taking it at bedtime worked well for me, and I didn't experience any side effects at all.
I ovulated with Clomid but did not get pregnant. I am now going to be starting my second round of Clomid 50mgs tomorrow.
I didn't chart or do temps or anything last month,as this ttc with meds is all new to me. I too find that the Dr's pharmacists are not very helpful at all.
Just a heads up to you....I experienced cramping, and very tender sore breasts during the last part of the month. I thought that I was pregnant and it turns out it was my period coming. I found that Clomid made my cramping more intense then what it normally is.
As for the period after taking Clomid..a lot of women say that it made their periods later on longer..well my cycle was 32 days last month and the cramping prior to the period was worse then during it. I do however think that Clomid has made my period a lot lighter then normal.

I haven't tried the Robitussin, but maybe I will this time just to see if it actually increases the changes of pregnancy by changing the cm.
I didn't find that I had any issues about the dryness, but who knows maybe Robitussin will be the magic formula .

Have you hear of Preseed? It is suppose to help as well. It has the same Ph balance as sperm has. I really want to try it, but it's hard to find here in Ontario.

Anyways, I hope that helps a little and answered some of your questions.
I hope the best for you.

Lots of baby Dust sent your way...............

Thanks BabyTalk! That was really helpful. I have preseed, they sent it to me by accident instead of the fertiletea I had ordered a while back. I'll try that too. As for the robutussin, you start taking it the day after your last pill of clomid until you ovulate. http://www.fertilityplus.org/faq/cm.html I think I'm obsessing over this too much. I hope this second round you'll get your BFP! Before you started your clomid, how long were your cycles? My cycles are currently 68 days long. Would I get my period sooner than that when I start the clomid?
