I have some questions, I finally 'O'd and I am on the 31st day of my cycle at 9 dpo. When should I start taking vitex? Oh and I bought a Womans Moon Cycle tea yesterday. Has many things in it, primarily dong quai and vitex. Should I use this at the same time as the pill form vitex? Can I open the pill and put it in the tea as well?

Pill form I bought 500mg vitex
Tea form I bought 40mg vitex

Also, I take vitex from day one menstruation to ovulation right? I am kind of confused with all the info I have been reading. Thank you in advance for any advice.

Armour 1 grain as of 9/16/2008
Soy CD 1-5 (cd 1/2-120mg and cd3-5 160mg)
NPC after O
5 HTP 100mg/day
Iodoral 50mg/day
Protonix when needed
Multi-Vitamin daily

I find that people take vitex very differently from one another. Some take it only during particular cycle days, while I take it continuosly as my naturopath suggested. I don't really have an answer for you, but you might want to consult a naturopath to get you started on a program that works specifically for you and your unique issues. Good luck!
