My doc did the bloodwork to determine why I wasn't getting preg and why my cycles are so long (42-48 days long). I don't have any of the common symptoms on the outside but my bloodwork says differently. I specifically asked my doc if I have cysts and he said no that I am not the "black and white case". I have an insulin resistance that is preventing me from ovulating. Just recently I have missed a period, I'm on day 67. I was given instructions to see a dietitian to start a low carb diet and I have a scipt for Glucophage. I have a serious issue with swallowing pills so I am wondering if anyone out there has been given the solution form of it? I am happy to have been directed to this site, thanks for your help!
Just wanted to you to SC!! You've definitely found the best place - the knowledge you'll find and the support you'll receive is endless!

To first answer your question, no, I haven't heard of the solution form...But if you do get on that, make sure you mention that, as I'm sure other people have the same concern. I don't particularly like swallowing pills either.
Your 'case' sounds like a lot of the women around here..their docs aren't real sure how to diagnose them, but a low carb diet and glucophage are definitely good ways to start.
If you need anything, please PM me...and again, welcome to the boards!

Unless your doc has done an ultrasound on you, there's really no way for him to know if you have cysts, but if your bloodwork is showing you have PCOS, there's really no need to know if you have the cysts.
Lots of us on here aren't the cut-and-dry case. I wasn't. My first doc COMPLETELY missed it, but I had it figured out from the testosterone level by the time I saw an RE who agreed with me.
Good luck with the meds! I found a good-carb diet was all I needed, I went off the Glucophage after being on it for a week or two to try just the diet. The South Beach diet worked by itself.
