 Just Diagnosed
Eek! Im frustrated, mostly because Im sure I had GD with my son last year. Thats what made my new dr check my levels. She said the levels were high enough I should have been monitored and since my bp was kinda high and I had tons of swelling that was even more of a reason. Now Im worried about what kind of effect that could have on him since I was untreated. Does anyone know? Anyway the nurse called to tell me, the dr. won't be back until Monday so I don't know where I go from here, except to change my diet and eat right. My 3 month average was 127, the nurse sounded as though I would need to be on insulin probably the Met which I wanted to start again anyway, since my OB took me off and wouldn't let me go back after baby. Sorry, this is more of a rant, I guess Im just worried about the damage I could have caused my little guy. Thanks for listening.
P.S. is it possible to change and not be diabetic with livestyle changes?
