Hi everyone. I was just diagnosed with pcos. I went to the dr because I was bleeding all the time. My ultrasound showed polycystic ovaries. They think since i didn't ovulate it sent my cycle out of whack which caused the bleeding. They put me on estrogen and provera for a month to stop the bleeding and help regulate my cycle. They offered to put me on clomid since my dh and I are trying to concieve, but I really don't want to go that route yet. I'm just hoping maybe I'll ovulate on my own. I don't have alot of the symptoms associated with pcos. I've never missed a period...just bled all the time. I'm not overweight, and i only have slight hair growth..a few on my chin...I have developed acne since I went off the pill in March. I also just found out I have a dermoid cyst on one of my ovaries. Just trying to find support and see if anyone has had the same issues as me.

welcome to sc, you will sooooo love it here from what i understand, every girls pcos is different.

Thanks for the welcome. My sister-in-law has pcos and her symptoms are completely different from mine. She just gave birth to a beautiful son. They had to do invetro, but said it was definately worth it. It is nice to have people to talk to that are going through the same thing as us.

My symptoms seem the same as yours, the weight gain just started in the past few months with a feriocity. I've also been wondering if my sister may have an undiagnosed PCOS since she also has many of the same symptoms but she gained almost 100 lbs in one year. she was treated for endometriosis several years ago.
