just diagnosed

I'm a 29 year old , thin, married, mother of two women. I was diagnosed with pcos about a week ago. I was very surprised! My sister has had pcos all her life. She has battled fertility problems and has always had weight problems. I'm so different. I had two babies back to back while on the pill. I'm thin and never had a problem with my period. Recently I missed a couple periods and had lab work done. Thats where my doctor discoverd it. I try looking at the bright side. My sister and I can share our problem and help each other. We have a special bond!!

hello, welcome to the boards!

my sister and i have a bond sort of like that too-- except for us it concerns the possibility of not having babies. she's on medicine for breast cancer that could leave her unable to have babies, and i have pcos. it's odd the bonds that form. i never expected that we'd have this similarity. maybe it is the unexpectedness that creates the bond....
