Cysters,

I had a lap and HSG done this morning. My abdomen and shoulders are very sore from the gas but I am very pleased with the surgery. The pain that I feel now is a walk in the park compared to the pain caused by the Endo. Please feel free to ask me questions about it if you are considering the surgery.

I have a mild case and had one small endometrioma (chocolate cyst) removed during the surgery. There was also an adhesion but it seems that I caught this just in time. Thanks to God! I refuse to let this get me down. I know it’s just another step towards TTC...

So here are my questions… What are your thoughts on Lupron? Has it worked for any of you? What did work to help get you pregnant and/or relieve your symptoms?

My doctor will be offering it to me soon and I would like to give it a try. I want to end that horrible pain and do anything else I can to preserve my fertility. Any thoughts and success stories would be appreciated!

How amazing that you are feeling relief the same day of your surgery!

I don't have any personal experience on Lupron, but I think for those who would like to ttc, it's a good idea to try it with the hope that you are creating a fair amount of time to ttc without the obstacles of pain/adhesions, etc.

Best wishes!

I'm not going to bore you w/ my whole story, but heres the idea:

Started TTC
After a few months I was in WAY too much pain and bleeding non stop
Had Lap July 08
Tried BCP for 3 months to ease pain - no help
Started Lupron 12/1
Hope to TTC after 6 mos Lupron
Praying for better luck this time
All this started a year ago

My whole thing was that I had to feel better - I was in too much pain. It became so bad that I was constantly running a fever and my blood pressure & pulse rate were really high (I almost was unable to have surgery).

My suggestion is if you feel healthy to TTC - do it. In my case I felt weak and the pain was too much to even have sex - and that is kind of required

So far my Lupron exp is not bad. I have hot flashes, I sweat all night, I drink water like crazy. My pain is still there, but the dr said it will take a few weeks for the pain to disappear. I'm so willing to do Lupron though for the thought of a year or more pain free.

Good luck w/ your decision.

I have endo. I treated it with DepoProvera for 7 yrs. When I began TTC I went off the DP. I have been off of DP for three and a half years. I began having the familiar endo pain back in January/February 2008. My dr suggested Lupron. I researched it and decided to go for it in April 2008. I began having hot flashes, mood swings, night sweats, my blood pressure went up, and I constantly felt sick. Like throwing up sick. For me the negatives outweighed the fact that I had no pain. The April shot was my one and only Lupron Inj. I began seeing a fertility specialist in October. He put me on Provera. My first period after Lupron took forever to come on. After my failed Femara cycle, the AF has been terrible. So I know my endo is back with a vengance. I wish you luck in whatever you decide to do! Sorry this was so long...I get on a roll sometimes...
