Just diagnosed and really depressed

Hi, I have been just diagnosed with PCOS. I always had mild hirsutism since my teenage years (Hair on upper lip, arms, legs) but I never really thought much off it and thought it was just herditary or something as I had never heard of PCOS. Anyway, I went on the birth control pill when I was sixteen as my periods were irregular and quite heavy and painful when they did come. So I was on and off the pill for the last 4 years and had no problems. So last year i decided to go on the evra patch as i thought it would be more convient so i wouldnt have to think bout it every day! Then in November I decided to stop using it as see if my periods would come on their own. Then just about four weeks ago I noticed dark hairs growing on my chin and jaw as well as stomach and breasts. I never had this before and it happened so fast. I panicked as Ive always had issues with my looks. Now I feel so low and down and don't want to do or go anywhere. I went to a local herbalist and I am now taking Vitex agnus castus and some other herb capsules that I dont know whats in them. I am also taking a good multivitamin, EPO and herbal teas. Could some other cysters please give me some advice? I really would appreciate it. Will the hirsutism decrease when my cycle returns? I haven't had a period in 4 months now.
