Default Just diagnosed and really late period

Hi! I am new here and am hoping someone will have some ideas for me. I was diagnosed with PCOS about a month ago and I thought I had for a long time, but they would never diagnose me with it. Right now I am concerned because I haven't had a period for 64 days and I have irregular cycles, but they are never this long. On day 47 my doctor told me to start taking Lady's Mantle, an herb. I can't figure out what it is for and why. I have been taking Vitex since November and it worked right off the bat to regulate me until March when my period never showed up. I told her that and she told me to keep taking it and now no period. Has anyone ever used Vitex or Lady's Mantle and what did it do for you? Also I read that Parsley Tea will induce a period so I tried it last night. Has anyone ever used this method and if so did it work and how long did it take and how much did you have to take? Please someone answer this if you have tried it or any other ways to get your period to start. I am desperate and my pregnancy test is still negative.

Hello,
I've been in your situation pretty much since I started getting my periods when I was 11. My periods have always been completely irregular. I wasn't diagnosed until about a year ago (I'm 23 now). I'm sorry I can't give you any insight about the meds, I really never tried any. But I can tell you that I'm extremely excited and keeping my fingers crossed, because the past two months were the first time in my life when I had two regular periods in a row! I only had my period for 5 days and, believe me, that was a relief. I know you've probably heard this before, but the only thing that I tried and that did help me is weight loss. I weighed 145 lbs when I was diagnosed. (I'm very short so even if that doesn't sound like a lot, it was a lot) It's been over a year since I changed my eating habits, started exercising, etc and I've managed to lose and keep off about 17 lbs. I'm at a much healther weight now and I'm pretty sure that is a factor in regulating my periods. I don't know if you're overweight or not and if this is applicable to you at all. I just want to let you know that I waited over 11 years for consecutive normal periods and I'm praying that I might actually get them now. So just hang in there and I wish you the best. I hope this helped in some shape or form.

Thanks! I did know that because my doctor told me when I was diagnosed that weight makes it worse. She said I wasn't overweight so not to worry about it, but I am trying to loose some because in high school I only weighed like 110 and since then I have gained like 40 pounds and I am only 22. It isn't out of control, but it is enough that I want to lose at least 20 pounds. I have been exercising and eating right so hopefully soon this will help. The Vitex worked to regulate me for like 3 months and now all of a sudden it is really bad! I have never gone this long before! It sucks, especially when I'm trying to get pregnant.
