Hello,
I've been in your situation pretty much since I started getting my periods when I was 11. My periods have always been completely irregular. I wasn't diagnosed until about a year ago (I'm 23 now). I'm sorry I can't give you any insight about the meds, I really never tried any. But I can tell you that I'm extremely excited and keeping my fingers crossed, because the past two months were the first time in my life when I had two regular periods in a row!

I only had my period for 5 days and, believe me, that was a relief. I know you've probably heard this before, but the only thing that I tried and that did help me is weight loss. I weighed 145 lbs when I was diagnosed. (I'm very short so even if that doesn't sound like a lot, it was a lot) It's been over a year since I changed my eating habits, started exercising, etc and I've managed to lose and keep off about 17 lbs. I'm at a much healther weight now and I'm pretty sure that is a factor in regulating my periods. I don't know if you're overweight or not and if this is applicable to you at all. I just want to let you know that I waited over 11 years for consecutive normal periods and I'm praying that I might actually get them now. So just hang in there and I wish you the best. I hope this helped in some shape or form.
