I know its scary at first. The unknown often scares us. But you are in the right place to learn about pcos. And to make new friends. Take your time and have a look at the info on sc first. Try and understand a little about pcos before you start digging a little deeper. You'll feel much better when you begin to understand more. Try not to panic. We are all here for you.
It can all be so very scary in the beginning. you have no idea what's what, and there is SO much information to process!
That's why its good you're here! There is so much information and support.
Also, I noticed that you're in Streetsboro! I'm in the Akron/Canton area - Uniontown. If you'd like some local cysters to chat and meet with, click on my siggy!

Kathy, it's okay to be scared when first diagnosed. I felt exactly the same way. What helped me to feel more in control was to read everything and anything I could about PCOS to find out what I was dealing with.
Read some articles in the Newbies section to get an idea what questions to ask your doctor. Good luck at the appointment, and welcome to SoulCysters.

Thank you for your responses. Just knowing other people have gone through this and had a good outcome is very reassuring. I know I will need support on losing the weight and controling the insulin resistance. That is my biggest fear is that I will not suceed and fail.
