Default just dx -- meds I'm prescribed -- does this seem right? and what should I do?

I was just dx a mo. ago. I have many symptoms -- the ones that drive me the most crazy are acne and facial hair. I am going insane from dealing with these.... Based on my blood work, hormone levels and history the dr. dx'd me with PCOS. She has me taking Aldactone 50 mg/day, and Metagenics EstroFactors supplement 3xd and I start Progesterone [rx] in about 14 days. I go for another blood draw in 3 weeks to evaluate insulin. So far I've been taking the Aldactone for almost a month. I have seen NO results in the acne or hirsutism. The only thing I've noticed is I'm more emotional -- easily cry. I am so deseparate to get rid of these superficial symptoms. NOTHING seems to work! Can anyone tell me... Is there hope for the regime my dr. prescribed? Aldactone, the Metagenics supplement and starting Progesterone soon? Does this sound right? I need support as I feel like there is no hope!!!!
I'm sorry if this has been asked before... I spent some time looking around and it seems ya'all are on different regimes and different things... I am confused and just want to know if I am starting in the right place... and if these rx's will make the acne and facial hair go away.
Please help!

welcome to sc ive been on sprio (aldactone by another name) for years, and it does help with the hair. Although my endo did tell me it takes 9-12 months to get to maximum result. I was also tearful when i first started it, but i soon went back to 'my normal'

Thanks.... 9-12 months seems like Forever! How much do you take? Did you start out small and then up the dosage? I'm wondering if my doc will do that.... [I wish someone would have told me this years ago... it's so frustrating!]
