The same thing happened to me a few years ago, they never found a heartbeat with the doppler (I am sure that they thought I was just too fat), and finally I had an U/S at 14 weeks and we discovered 2 babies that had died at 9 weeks. I had a D&C later that day.
I know it is hard. You need time to grieve, and you need support from those who are close to you. It is good that you have the doc's pager number. Don't be afraid to ask for counseling if you need it.
My thoughts and prayers will be with you as you go through this difficult time.

I'm sorry for your loss. Many of us here have had similar things happen -- my doctor couldn't find the h/b at 9 1/2 weeks, but her doppler wasn't the best. I went in for an ultrasound at 11 1/2 weeks and found the baby died at 7 1/2 weeks. My body wouldn't expel it on its own, so I had to have a D&C. It's a very hard thing, but take it one day at a time. Take the time to grieve and mourn. You will survive -- badly at first, but a little bit better as time goes by. I'm also not going to say something stupid like "well, you'll have a baby one day" because it is always possible that you may not. However, take heart that many of us do go on to have healthy babies. May you be one of them.
I am so sorry for your loss hun. There's nothing I can say to make it any easier, other than letting you know you are not alone, and it is okay to grieve. Let it out.
Take it a day at a time, and do try to do something as far as a memorial or planting a tree, buying a statue... something in remembrance of your baby.
It's never easy losing a baby. If you start to feel depressed do call a doctor, see a counselor... and hang in there.
Again, I am so sorry.

I'm so sorry, I know how painful it is.
Please know that although it seems like the loneliest type of grieving there is, there are others who understand and are here to support you.

I'm so sorry. This is a terrible thing that is happening to you, and it will be hard for a long time, but you WILL get through it, I promise you. If you need to talk, you can talk to me. As someone said, it is a very lonely grief, so don't shut yourself away, and don't bottle things up, get it out when you can.

The same thing happened to me sorta a couple of weeks ago. I had went in at 61/2 weeks saw heartbeat everything was great went back in at almost 10 and there was nothing there the baby had died but also disappeared. I had a d&c a week from this past thursday. This was my third miscarriage in a row and it is hard to go on and it takes alot of time. Iam so sorry for your loss.
I am so sorry for your loss. I urge you to lean on everyone who loves you to get all the support that you need. Perhaps you should see if you can get a referral to a bereavement counselor who specializes in working with parents who have lost a baby. We did that and found it very helpful.
Sorry that you lost your little baby. It is so hard. My lil bean died at about 10 weeks too but we didn't find out till two weeks later (last year). I still miss her every day. Eventually it does get better. You are in my thoughts.
