Default Just found out my TSH is elevated so I have to increase dosage

Hi,

I went to visit my doctor yesterday...She took a TSH test...i got the call today that it is elevated so she increased my dosage...I know alot of it is my fault because I don't take it on time...I take it at night because I forget to take it in the morning. Does anyone know how I can decrease it?...I am so glad that I have you guys to talk to....

Well I think you just answered your own question. Since I am on so many medications, I set alarms on my cell phone to tell me when to take my medication because of how important it is!

Take it first thing in the morning. If you don't wake up at the same time everyday- set your alarm set one out with a glass of water and wake up, take it and go back to bed. If you aren't a morning person- take it at night at the same time everyday. Just make sure you aren't taking it with food & you aren't taking antacids with the levoxyl/synthroid because it will decrease how much is absorbed into your body.

Thanks so much for all the advice...it does help to talk to all of you...My doctor also called saying that my insulin is still high so she increased the dosage for metformin...she said that it could be because of the thyroid.
