I just found out today that I have PCOS...pretty much had to prey it out of my GP coz she kept saying that I should relax and I'll get my periods and get pregnant!!!!
Have an appt with my gyno next week and feel a little scared.
So, was looking for a place to vent My husband found this site for me...so glad he did.
Thnx for all the information in the posts.
You also need to see an endocrinologist to manage PCOS as most primary docs and gynos tend to not take it seriously. Sorry you were diagnosed but welcome.

Managing PCOS the natural way!
Start to do something to make a positive change in your life!
Real women have curves, being more of a woman doesn't mean i'm less of a person.Plus size and Proud!
I must have really lucked out. Cause I went for a consultation with my OB GYN and she is the one that told me right on the spot I had this. She is very knowledgable about it, and is working with me. I hope yours is the same way. Its nice to have a dr that understands and is there for you.
Hi and welcome!! I am so thankful to have a VERY knowledgeable and understanding dr after going so long with every gyn I've tried telling me, "there's nothing I can do for you.."
I don't even know if I really have it because I get my periods every month...but the number of days in the cycle varies quite a bit.
Hope my gyn will help me out with this
