it could just be because of the stress of the diagnosis, the runs and backpain don't seem typical of pcos though. i know how devastating the diagnosis is, i cried all weekend when i got mine. i actually declared it my "poor me weekend" and stayed home, eating, crying and feeling bad for myself for the entire weekend. you need to give yourself time to let this sink in and reflect on it, don't beat yourself up for it. it will get better, i promise!

I can concur, the runs are not a symptom of PCOS. That is likely stress induced or a virus, or something you ate (bacterial).

Back pain can be result of many things and is not related to PCOS but it may be related to weight issues if you have any, or could be something else like a bad sleep, a pulled muscle, pinched nerve, etc. - something you did.

Symptoms of PCOS don't really make you feel sick usually (not directly) they are usually more related to looks, unless your weight gets out of control and you end up getting diabetes or heart disease or something. But it's the weight itself that is the symptom of PCOS while the diabetes or heart problems would be a result of the weight not the PCOS. Weight can be controlled, that's the good news.

Yes, I had a 'poor me'' weekend too when first diagnosed. But, I remember, it could be worst. I agree with pp that say the runs doesn't really fit with PCOS - maybe a virus? Hope you feel better soon!
