Hi everyone. My name is Heather and I am from Morgantown, WV. I have been married to my wonderful dh for almost 9 years now and we have 5 angel babies. I was finally diagnosed with PCOS last week after knowing for years that I had it. It seemed as though the doctors didn't believe me although I had to take Clomid to even become pregnant to begin with.
The road to this point in my life has been quite a rocky one. I had my first m/c in Nov. 2003 after ttc for 2 years. Doctors chalked it up to "rotten luck". Next one was in Oct. 04, one in July 05, I lost a little boy, Logan, in Nov. 05 at 22 weeks, and had another m/c in Feb. 07. I saw a new dr for the last m/c. As they were doing the d&c, one of her colleagues said I needed a full workup. I had an HSG which showed a uterine septum. I had that removed and a cerclage put in, in May. Things were going great for a few months and then AF completely disappeared in October and I haven't seen it since. I had an u/s which showed cysts and my bloodwork came back with high testosterone levels and mild insulin resistance. Add that to the excess hair and being overweight and surprise - PCOS!
So I am on Yaz to restore my cycles and I started 500mg Metformin yesterday. I am to double that next week. So far so good. I only have a mild stomach ache. They only want me on the yaz for one month and then we are going to start Clomid. I hope this will be the end of a long hard journey and the beginning of a happy one.
I am looking forward to getting to know all of you.

Rosashi, yes, they diagnosed me with ic as well as the million other things that seem wrong. My dr was going to wait until I became pregnant to put the cerclage in but decided to place one when he removed my septum. I am sorry to hear about your losses.
Your journey has been a rocky one, but now that you have your diagnosis, it sounds like things are getting on their way. The Met maybe what you need to start getting your body on the right track. Good luck!

It's definitely frustrating and scary ttc with PCOS and I/C, this is my 6th or 7th cycle now ttc since my loss in jan 07, 5 rounds of clomid and now I'm going back to the RE next month to see whats next.
I wondered if there was others on here in a similar situation as me
Hope clomid is what you need for a BFP GL and keep me posted
