Default just introducing myself

Hi my name is Toni-marie
I'm new to this site but not to pcos
I also have endometriosis.
I was diagnosed with the endometriosis in april 2000 after having a laparoscopy and the pcos was diagnosed about 10 months later as I was having problems conceiving.
In april 2001 after a short stay in hospital for a ruptured cyst I began taking clomid and was lucky enough to fall pregnant after only two months.
Georgia Lynee Inez was born 18th march 2002
6lb13oz.
Knowing the problems I have my husband and I have decided to start trying for #2. I know Georgia is only 10 months and some may say that's too close but I dont want to take any chances.
I got excited just before christmas as I hadn't got my period and I thought great this has been so easy this time around so off I went to the dr but nothing I waited and waited and I still wait.
No pregnancy and still No periods that's what's so frustrating every thing is such a catch 22 I can't fall pregnant without ovulating and I cant take the clomid to make me ovulate till I get my period
Although it was for only 2 months I didn't have an easy time on the clomid so I know I have to prepare myself for it this time
My new years resolution though is not to let the situation get the better of me. I have to stay strong not just for me but for my daughter and my husband.

I appreciate the time you have taken to read my story and I look forward to getting to know some of you
thanks

Talk to your endorinologist about metformin. If you have insulin resistance then metformin may make you ovulate. Have a glucose tolerance test. Enccourage your doctor to look into it.
If you are in Sydney (sorry, forgot to check) Dr Warren Kitson in Randwick knows his PCOS inside out, he is an endocrinologist. I am a doctor and you can pm me to ask me more questions.

Hi Toni-Marie,

Welcome to SC!

I have heard a few ladies on this board comment that Dr Kitson is the best. He also works out of Hornsby I believe.

Congratulations on the birth of your baby last year, and I hope you are able to become pregnant again very soon.

C you around
Tollee
