Hey Mags77~

Welcome. I am new too. I have been taking Fortamet which is like Metformin, but it is a slow release pill. Have you been feeling any difference since taking your meds?

Can anyone help me with this?
What are "points" ? I clicked on it and it showed a store where you can buy immunity and bank and donate. I am so confused with the points and the reputation marks etc...

Thank You For My First Message! There Is So Much To Learn About Using This Site, And I Am Clueless Right Now. The Metformin Is Giving Me The Energy That I Didn't Have A Week Ago. I Actually Have The Will Power To Start Exercising. I Have Had Diarrhea Off And On, But As Long As It Doesn't Come On At Work, I Can Handle It! How Long Have You Been On Your Meds?

Hey Waytocute,
I have been dealing with PCOS since puberty and though it is annoying it is not anything to be scared of. You will find lots of info on this site. I noticedd most of my symptoms were controllable when I was on birth control and at my goal weight. So, no worries you'll be fine.

Mags77 ~
I have been on my meds for one month and I haven't seen much difference. I have been having alot of stomach troubles including diahrrea and stomach cramps. My obgyn said it causes stomach problems which lessen over time. If I don'y get pg by the end of the year I am going to start Clomid.

Well. I saw a specialist about two weeks ago that said from what I've told him it sounds like PCOS but that I need some blood work and a Pelvic ultrasound to determine for sure. So I am now waiting on the pelvic ultrasound.

I thought that when I was told for sure that yes there was something wrong that I'd feel better because I'd know it has not been in my mind. I'm 24 and have been struggling with problems since I was 11.

I feel alone in this because I'm from a small town and it took me asking to see a specialist for anything to be done before than it was always blamed on my weight (I am very over weight) but PCOS could help explain some of the weight.

I would just like to know for sure. I have so many questions and just want some answers. The specialist ask me what my biggest fear was and I told him not being able to have children or not knowingf before hand that I'd have problems getting pregnant. I'm just so tired of always have cramps, periods whenever with no consistancy and trying so hard to loose weight but never actually being able to keep it off and always having to buy products to keep the hair off my face.

Thanks to all for listening to be ramble on it felt good to get some of what I am feeling off my chest because as much as family members and doctors say they understand or they know what I am going through they don't and can't unless they are going through exactly what I am going through all the time.

Thanks To All Of You For Your Kind Words. It Is So Amazing To Be Able To Communicate With People Who Are Going Through The Same Things. Today I Took Care Of A Patient Who Conceived While On Metformin And Clomid, I Think It Was God's Way Of Telling Me To Hang In There, And That We're All On The Right Track.(esp B/c I Never Used To Take Medication For Anything, So It Was Very Difficult For Me To Accept Relying On This Medication On A Daily Basis!)
