Default just a little confused

I just have a few questions and I would like to see if anyone could help either direct me or give some advice. I went off my antidepressant myself 3 weeks ago. Everything started up again. I realized that I had to go back on it, and I did. But I want to know will I ever beable to go with out it again? I realize that there was probable some problems with me prior to my mother's death Oct 2, 2002. But this is when I seemed to loose it. I felt with some help with the antidepressant and individual therapy, also going to a bereavement group once a month would be enough. Which it did I dealt with her death and my father's and grandfather's death 22 years ago. And we must add that my best friend married and moved to Tucson, Az. The problem is why when I don't take this is my life so out of control? Why do I still feel that everyone is so demanding of me and I can't figure out what they want from me, I don't even know what I want from myself. I'm still going to therapy.

Aww, it sounds like you're having a tough time! You have a lot of questions, most of which I don't have any answers. I did want to tell you I'm listening, though and you are not alone. Sometimes, our bodies just don't make the right chemicals to keep us completely healthy. Think of it kinda like a vitamin deficiency. If we get enough iron, our bodies become tired. In our case, some of the other parts of our body have a defeciency. That is why we take anti-depressants. To help out our body. There is nothing "wrong" with you. You just need a little help. Keep taking your meds. Someday, you might be able to go off of them, but maybe not. I was on Serzone several years ago and was able to go off. But, now life has sent me a few curves, my chemicals are a little off and so I need some help. I'm now trying some different types to find out what is right for me. Hang in there. Life will get better. I'm sorry about the hardships in your life. Feel free to vent here as often as you need too. That, too helps. {hugs} Lendi
