just a little love from a lurker

hi...i lurk all over the place on this board and i just want to say how much i admire you ladies for your strength through miscarriages and the struggle to adopt....i worry almost every day that i am going to face so many of the same issues that you have all faced because of this dreaded syndrome....i even switched my major to social work so that i can work with parents like each and everyone of you because i think that there would be no greater joy than to hand a child to parents who have longed for that special child....my brother was adopted in 1975 because my parents werent able to concieve due to tilted uterus and my father had mumps fall on both sides and a low sperm count due to this....while my father was away at graduate school he "saved" up and when he returned they concieved me in 1980...so my parents got the best of both worlds....the thing is...i KNOW that david was meant to be my brother...we look so much alike and even have the same birth mark....God placed him with us because we were meant to be a family....his birth mother almost aborted him but it was too late in her pregnancy and after traveling all the way to new york in her sixth month decided that adoption was her way...she chose my parents and the rest is history....so ladies i just wanted to show my admiration and a little bit of my adoption story...even if it isnt exactly mine....good luck to all those who are soon to be adopting and CONGRATS to all of those who have adopted already....adoption is such a beautiful thing...much love and respect...christie
