I've been on met for a week... now I don't know if I can count this as weight loss or just adjustment to the medication, but I'm about 5 lb lighter. I'll feel more confident when i weigh myself in another week to see if the weight stays the same..... or drops.

I started seeing it immediately. Before I knew it, I was 10lbs. lighter. Now, 5 months later, I have lost about 20lbs. I have seemed to plateau which is ok - I am at 185lbs. and I am fine with it.

Hi ya everyone
I have to ask did you all feel sick and orrible after you started met! I started on wednesday (after a very long battle to get it )and now I feel awful!! I hope you don't dancer55.
Any advice?
I haven't lost any weight yet . I hope that its just because my doctor started me on a low dose.
insaneelliemay I'm sorry you are feeling sick. I felt sick the first day, but after that I have felt fine. That could also be because my doctor started me on a low dose. I hope that you feel better soon.

well ariel the sickness has gone!!! it is amazing what a busy night running a labour ward can do!! The only thing is watching all those woman in labour I am not sure I still want to do that!!
For all of you that lost that weight did you eat differently or exercise ? not trying to be lazy it is just that i have been trying to lose weight for so long it would me nice to have a week off the strict diet etc and still lose some of this weight

I noticed results instantly-I felt better all over, my skin was soft and smooth, I noticed weight lost within the first week or so. I have been on metformin for 6 weeks and have lost 12lbs so far. I also got my cycle 5 weeks after being on met. Stick with it the results will pay off!!!!!!!!!!! Good Luck!
Hi ladies! I just started met 3 days ago. im on 500mg and not feeling bad just alittle poops but i have that anyways cause my bowls have issues lol. but other then that im doing ok. the 2 nd week i will be on 1000mg and then the 3rd week it will be 1500mg. my doc said if i am doing well at my 6 week checkup then she is gonna give me clomid along with the met ! YAYYYYYYY! lol Thats what ive been waiting for, for so long so im hopeing it works how im expecting it too. Good luck ladies and take care <3

So my weight has still not gone down, but my face has cleared up so much!!!!! I also had this back pain that never seemed to go away that has finnaly left!!!
