Just started metformin, ttc, and get things in order
Hello cysters! I was wondering if I could get some feedback, and some advice. I was diagnosed with PCOS eight years ago, and was only ever put on yaz or yasmin because without meds I will not bleed. Now, my doc has refused me yaz because of the lawsuit thing going on, which is just fine because my fiance and I have deciede to ttc for our first time. We has actually tried for three years with no lucj at one point. So, my doctor has put me on metformin 750 mg. per day. He also put me on a restricted calorie diet, and asked me to please get at least 30 min. of exercise per dayHe told me that we would give metformin and a new diet a try for a year, and hopefully that will restore my menses/ovulation and help block the overflow of androgens. I was wondering if anyone else has been in this situation, and if so what was your journey with metformin like? Also, what is the best diet to go on?
I am in a similiar situation, I just went on met a few weeks ago. My doctor recommended the south beach diet, also a low Glycemic index diet is supposed to be good. Good luck!

Well i want to tell you my experience with met. it has helped me alot i just had BFP last week. i weighed 240 pounds, started by eating healthy and a bit of exercise(not that much) and drinking two litres of water or more a day. i had been on it for since february of this yr until i had my BFP!!!!!. believe it you will be fine. the side effect were not that bad i will get it only when i eat junk food, other than it was ok. i came down to 200 pounds, if i can do it so can you. i was also taking folic acid (mother to be) with omega 3 and asprin. was on met 3x a day. i hope this helps.
