I just saw my doc on Tues. and he put me on Met. starting at 500mg working up to 1000mg. I am on the nuva ring for my AF and he wants me to stay on that so the met is for my other symptoms. He wants to see me back at the end of the month to see how the dosage is working. I was just wondering how long it will take me to see results? He also said that it would help with the excess hair on my face etc, but he made it sound like it will take care of the hair completely and I won't have it anymore, it this true?

Well I started Met last week at 500mg/day and yesterday started 500mg x2/ day.
I can actually see my chin hair has started to grow slower, I dont have to take care of it every day
Keeping my fingers crossed for more effects and complete chin hairloss!

I generally felt better and started losing weight immediately, but the hair part took longer. It took about 4-6 months of 2000mg for me to really see hair results. I started growing new hair on my head and my unwanted hair has gotten thinner, lighter and grows A LOT slower! My best advice, be patient! I'm glad my doctor warned me that it would take awhile for the hair to change.. I was beginning to get worried that Met wasnt going to help when all of a sudden, I noticed the difference.
