Default Just starting out

I just completed my first round of Clomid 50mg CD 5-9 and will being going to have lab work done on the 17th to check my levels. I was diagnosed with PCOS just a little over a month ago and was given Metformin 500 mg by my primary physician just prior to finding this out. Her reason for perscribing the metformin was because I expressed the want to lose weight have not have very much luck despite all efforts. I am afraid that my dream of having a baby just will not happen for me. I am trying to lose weight and live a healthier lifestyle. Any advice and pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I was on metformin for quite some time and found I craved sweet foods like there was no tomorrow, I gained so much weight it was crazy. Speaking to a gyno this week, he tells me it is highly unusual to gain, most women lose (trust me to be different/difficult).
Good luck with your journey!!!
I start my first course of clomid next week!! Scary but exciting all the same!

I have been on Metaformin for on and off 2 years. This is the first time I have stayed on it for more than a couple weeks. I have now been on it for 5 months now. I started on 500 mg twice a day, gradually went up to 500 mg three times a day. Now I am on the extended release and it is 750 mg twice a day. I was starting to lose weight but it is just really hard to lose weight for me. I am on my first cycle of clomid right now and it has made me really dizzy. It has made it hard to go for my walks with my dog. I guess I am the odd one who seems to get all the bad side effects. You just really need to stick in there. Your lucky that they put you on clomid because my ob/gyn wouldn't do it until I got to 135 lbs, Which that is so stupid. I am a nurse so I demanded a referral to a reproductive endocrinologist. Since I have seen him I feel like there is some a little hope starting to show. Good luck.
