Hi everyone,

I have been lurking on this board for a while now, but am ready to become a part of it.

My Dh and I have been discussing the issue of adoption for a while now. He actually finally said he was ready to start pursuing things just a few weeks ago. Anyway, we are actually going to our first orientation on Thursday of this week, and we couldn't be happier!

Thank you ladies so much for all the encouragement. We had a wonderful orientation last night. I really is a cool place that we would definitely like to work with. It is a non-prof/christian/ private agency with a contract with the State of Texas. They place hard to place children that are currently in the system, for little or no cost to the adoptive family. And also work with birth mothers. YAY!!!!

We filled out the app, but are going to wait till March to turn it in. I am about to get on Gluc, and would like to give my body a couple of months to be more healthy! We would hate of a cw to come out for our homestudy and I go into hysterics . Plus it will give us a little more time to finish paying off a vehicle and the last few credit cards!!! We won't to start fresh with a new little one in our lives!!!!

But I will say that I am so unbelievable excited, and can't wait to get further into the process.
