I am 38 years old, I have PCOS, My husband is 64(I know he's older) I was reading on the internet that with my PCOS, it would be very hard for us to get pregnant. I was also reading with his age and diabetes that it would be even harder for us to get pregnant. THEN I happened across this site that said that the chances of us having a healthy baby because of our problems and combined age, was only about 10% or something like that.
Anywho, I went to my dr looking for some reassurance or BC to control the PCOS because the statistics were not very good. Instead of reassuring me, she started ranting about how the treatments were expensive and it would not be funny if I quit now and wanted a referal two or even three months from now. I don't care how expensive it is, I dont want to be wasting my time, or take chances on having an unhealthy baby as I already have a disabled son. I love him to peices but I don't want to take a chance on another.
I was looking for reassurance not ranting about how I was wasting her time and efforts. Anyway, thank you for letting me rant and rave, are any of you older and trying to conceive? If so, have you suceeded in the past? or are you still trying?
38 years old- will be 39 in January. I would love to have a child... but because of circumstances, just never had the opportunity. I have a serious BF that is only a few years older who has no children either... so I hope that it will happen.

Thank you all ever so much, at this point only a miracle from God will work. My husbands (DRIVE) is low so that is also against us. Thank you and I won't give up until they say we can't help anymore
