I got AF today, on my own, no drugs or anything...all with the help of Natural Progesterone Cream. I know that I did not ovulate, but I am just so happy that something NATURAL has worked and I can stay off of birth control, while still maintaining some sort of healthy cycle!
So, for those that have tried NPC I have a Q...I am wondering if it is ok to stay off of it for up to 30 days, then go on it for 14 (if I don't O)? The reason I ask is because I want to give my body a chance to O, but don't want anymore 100 + day cycles. Any suggestions? Thanks

Glad to hear AF showed! In case you don't remember me we had the discussion about my chart and whether or not the temp increase was O or not. Well, AF showed for me, too.
From my understanding you should not take a 30 day break from the cream. Doing this will not shorten your cycles. I followed a 2 wk on 2 wk off pattern until my cycle started to shorten. The cream is supposed to help with O (there are many that disagree so thats up to you) too. Since my cycles are so much better I am just going to try and wait to use the cream until after O - if no O happens by CD21 then I plan to start the cream anyways.
Well, hope this helps you out and I'm not confusing you. Definitely keep using it! Good luck!
If I go more than 14 days off the NPC, say 30 , will that cause me to grow more cysts...since the "cysts" are just follicles that never burst?!?! I'm so confused...I hope someone reads this!

Ok, the answer to your question is no. To help with dissolving cysts you actually should use the cream more. There is a post by Kat about NPC and how to use if you have PCOS (it is in this thread). From my understanding you should use it from CD5-CD26 (21 days or until AF shows up which might be less than 21 days but you've effectively stopped O anyways) for 3-4 mos (this stops O and actually dissolves the cysts). Then after this you stop using the cream and in most cases your ovaries will O spontaneously and then you will start the cream again after you confirm O. From what I have read alot of women get pregnant doing this. Once again, read Kat's post in case I have any holes in the information I'm giving you. Good luck!
Ok I started Progesterone Cream yesterday. I am on CD85 today with no sign of AF! So I use the NPC until AF comes and then what? Do I stop ? For How long? When do I take a break??
So glad to hear you're trying this! You use the cream for 14 days and then go off the cream for 14 days. More than likely AF won't show up right away - I took about 1 month before AF showed (was like on CD180 something!). You will continue this 2 wk on 2 wk off pattern until some sort of a cycle starts to form - I would say once you get your cycle lengths into the 30-40 day range then consider this to be an established cycle. Once this has occurred you use the cream AFTER O has been confirmed (by charting BBT's) and stay on it for 14 days or until AF shows. You will be amazed at how this stuff regulates your cycle! I just started AF on CD35!! I have NEVER had AF so regularly! So exciting!
If you don't mind me asking what cream did you purchase? I am asking because there are many bogus creams out there (especially the ones sold at health food stores (GNC),etc) and you need to be careful. I am not saying these brands do not contain any progesterone but the amount contained is probably not sufficient. Some creams just contain more progesterone which is all around a better choice - see results quicker. Take care!
I just hope I can confirm O with my BBT's and not OPK's!!! Ugh!
The kind of cream I have is called "Progestone 900". 2oz./57grams.
It's marketed by Dixie Health Inc. in Atlanta, GA. It was $29.99 at GNC (I think that's where we got it). It also says "Apply 1/4 Teaspoon of Cremegel to desired areas, Morning and Night. To many ingrediants to list. lol
Here's the pic:
PROGESTONE 900 - WITH USP NATURAL PROGESTERONE
PROGESTONE-900: PROGESTERONE CREAM
Woman's Body Cream for Relief & Protection
Progestone 900 contains wild yam extract as well as usp progesterone. Dermasterone is a proprietary Wild Yam Complex utilizing enzymatic and catalytic micro-processing, evaporation, condensation and concentration of special natural isolates from select Dioscorea (wild yam) species.
Progestone 900 features an exclusive transactive delivery system to enhance absorption and utilization. This innovative pharmaceutical technique creates an "invisible patch," which utilizes micronized phospholipids in the extract which react with the moisture on your skin's surface, creating a highly effective multiphasic emulsion system.
Many women enjoy the added moisturizing benefits of this cream by applying it to various dry skin areas to enhance skin tone and texture. Progestone 900 can be applied to any area of the body -the neck, chest, arms, breast, abdomen, thighs, back of the hands, etc. For best results, apply to moistened skin. The amount used each day can be divided into two applications for repair or applied once daily using it for maintenance.
Works in total harmony with the body. Fights stress and stabilizes moods. Contains NO masking analgesic products.
Looks great! I hate to be too negative but I would be a little leery about that cream. It does say it contains USP progesterone (which is great) BUT it doesn't seem to specify how much. That is where most creams have their downside - they contain the right stuff but just not enough of it. Go ahead and use this cream and just play it by ear. If you're not seeing AF or any benefits within 1 mo I would contemplate trying another cream. I could be totally wrong about this brand - it could be a wonderful cream! Maybe you know or have talked to someone that uses it? All you can do is try it and see what happens. The cream I use is also based out of Georgia ("Happy PMS") and I actually contacted the manufacturer and asked my questions before purchasing it. As far as I'm concerned, if they can't answer your questions about their product, it is probably something you don't want to buy. I also knew a few ladies that use it for misc. reasons and they swore up and down about it. Well, anyways, good luck to you and I'd love to hear about your progress so keep me posted!
Well, all it says on the back is Progesterone USP, C-12-15. That's about it for the USP part! lol
Since I started using it yesterday, I've been VERY crampy, almost to where I couldn'nt get to sleep! I'm sure it's got to be the Progesterone, but I'll do what you said and see what happens!
Just to add my 2 cents...I use "Lifestyle Formulas" Natural Progesterone, 500mg pure progesterone per ounce, it also says contains DLPA? and is a liposome cream?!
