Post Just wanted to update you...

Hi...
I am on cycle day 10 of Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo... second cycle on it. Just an update: My hair is worse than ever... I get regular headaches... and the kicker: I had to go to an Internist today as directed by my RE as he believes the bcp are causing high blood pressure in me! So- dh and I am are getting very close to ttc'ing again real soon (waiting for finances)... so I figure I will stick it out to the end of this cycle to achieve AF so we can start Gonal F injections all over again. I won't go back on this bcp that's for sure...
Just interested... how have you made out on the Ortho?

hello,
I am not an expert on this...but as far as I have read...ortho tri is not good for people with PCOS. The estrogen is released in three parts and it does not release enough estrogen in the first part of the cycle....that is why it is not good for us.

Though, when i was on it (one cycle...until I read about it)...it was fine for me...My body doesnt really react crazily to any BCP....

Now, I am on Yasmin and its the same...it mgiht just be me and i might not notice the differences that are going on....
Just wanted to give you my 2 cents.
Toral

I had a friend on OTC and it made her PCOS worse. She had no periods and was nausea all the time. My doctor told me that any BCP with Tri in it are not good for PCOS. They are tri-phasic and the best for us is mono-phasic. So now you have 4 cents.
