What is the red shield with the x on it for on most of the posts? I noticed most everyone who has been posting has one. I don't. Do I need to buy one or something? I'm still not 100% on the whole gifts, ribbons, reputation thing.
That is to report bad posts. We all see those shields on other people's posts but not on our own.

AHHHHHHHHHH. So that is what it is. Thank you so much for your reply. I was also wondering (God I sound so needy) how you give reputation points. I tried clicking on the weight thing on the bottom left of screen but it wouldn't do anything. Am I doing something wrong or am I too new to give any reputation points?
a box should pop up in the left hand corner top of the screen when you click the scales...........but not sure why you can't.........does it say anything.

The newer versions of Internet Explorer automatically block popups. You might need to allow popups for this site (just click the thin banner at the top when a popup is blocked and it will give you options). There are no popup ads associated with this site, so you should be safe to always allow.
also, make sure you are clicking on another member's scale, not your own. or can you not see your own.
for the ribbons and gifts, up at the top of the screen, where there are 3 rows of blue buttons, there is one that says ribbons & gifts. click on that and then click on Ushop menu. if you have enough points to purchase something, it will tell you how many points it is going to cost you. if you don't have enough, you can't go much further. keep posting and you'll earn more points. also if you have some points and you "deposit" them in the bank, you earn interest on them!

hmm. i just clicked on my own scale and it tells me i have 68 reputation points and my points on this post is Even. Is even or odd significant? i haven't read anything about that before.

If you click on a post where you received reputation points, it will tell you what kind of reputation you were given, and the comment that they typed in..
I just gave you rep points on your last post in this thread .. try it

Fynralyl, I think you are right about it blocking me. Every time I hit someone's scale it shows a miniscreen with a big red x on it. I haven't tried hitting my own scale but I am sure it says the same thing. I usually stay away from scales but now that I finally want to get on them I can't. Ha Ha. I hate my bathroom scale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
