Default just wondering..

is weight loss really the cure? will it helps all of my symptoms associated w/ pcos? i'm just wondering, cuz i don't really know much about this. i want restored fertility, the cysts to go away, the weight to go down, the hair to stop, EVERYTHING.. please let me in and tell me what you know.

Weightloss and lower carb dieting helped many of my symptoms, but the IR didn't get better till I started on Metformin. There are thin cysters who still have many problems, but many fluffy cysters find that symptoms often improve with weight loss. Some have to go on meds.

I wanted to add that Kat (owner of this site) said her symptoms are in remission. She exercises and watches her diet.

Ditto, you don't cure it. You control it, and weightloss is definitely one of the things that makes a huge difference in your ability to control it.
