Question Just wondering, Midcycle spotting anyone?

Hi, I was just diagnosed and trying to put it all together and understand PCOS. I was just wondering, does anyone else have this? It has just started within the past several months, and sometimes comes with the pain of what seems to be ovulation, I just never really spotted midcycle until recently. Can anyone help me understand this better? Thanks!

Default Hi!

I'm new here, although I have been dx'ed with PCOS (and then told I don't have it) several times

Are you eating more soy now than you did in the past? The reason I ask is because I tend to get midcycle spotting when I eat a bunch of soy. I don't know why, but I've noticed that if I stop eating soy, so does the spotting.

I also found that when I weight more than I want to, I tend to have more spotting.

Just my thoughts!

I spot lightly for a day or two when I ovulate. I also experience ovarian pain at this time. An old GYN once told me this was normal for many women.

You might want to ask your doctor about it though, just to make sure.

Default Can't help, but supporting

Especially since I am asking the same question. Although I have more than spotting....more like a period every two weeks. I thought people with PCOS don't get their periods.

Default Thanks!

Thanks for your responses. It definately comes with ovarian pain, almost like I can feel ovulation in a way. I don't eat soy at all, but I will see if it lessens as I lose weight (hopefully I will continue to lose weight) I have a script for an ultrasound, it seems to be related to PCOS, with the pain around ovulation and all. Might be related to cysts, causing the pain? Thanks again, I appreciate it.http://www.soulcysters.net/images/smilies/cat.gif
