Kariva

I have a question. I took Yasmin for 8 months, but today my endo just gave me Kariva because my hair was starting to fall out and getting really thin. Also I started having bad headaches when I went from the yellow pill to the white pill. So, she gave me Kariva. I don't know anything about Kariva so I was just wondering if any of you knew anything about it and if it actually works. Thanks--I really need some advice!

How did kariva work for you? did it help with hair loss? are you also taking spiro?

Kariva worked alright for a time and then gave me heavy white discharge and itching throughout my cycle. I couldn't deal with it so I switched to zovia.

I was given kariva/mircette (kariva is the generic pill for mircette) because with the hair loss - i had really horrible migraines . The week that you would not take the pill on yasmin with kariva you have to take that week for your estrogen levels not to drop too low that's why i was having migraines because my estrogen levels are/were off. I take 200mg of spiro along with kariva. It has only been 2wks, but no migraines. My hair is a little better, but i was told it will take some time for the shedding to stop. - good luck

Glad to hear it helped with your migraines. I just started Kariva because I was on Yaz (and a few others before that) and had horrible migraines. Hopefully it will do the trick for me as well.
