My husband and I just started TTC and I probably wont tell anyone, espeically since everything is so new it would be hard for them to understand. Once I get BFP maybe then I can explain everything but for now it's nice to just focus on us

My husband I recently decided to ttc. We are having a consult with my gyn/re on thursday. I was on depo because it was not good to get pregnant with lupus, especially when you are having multiple flare-ups. Now I am off of all the meds and learned to control lupus through diet and exercise. But I would tell anyone in my family as they are all nuts. We decided if we eloped and never told anyone, it was fine to start the ttc process w/o telling anyone. Although I did tell my bff as she has pcos as well and we can encourage each other.

update - we have been keeping ttc a secret since I have had pcos and such trouble. I am pregnant! Just got my official results today! Hubby wants to shout it to the world right now. I have asked him to wait still. Just nervous.

My husband and I got married a year ago. Everyone was telling us we are so young and they couldnt believe we got married. Pretty much the day after the wedding everyone starting asking us when we are going to have a kid!! Only a few people know I have PCOS and I really dont want to go around telling people about it. And even the people who do know I dont think realize it's not going to be the easiest thing (ttc). So for the past year we get "when are you guys going to have a kid" question, I swear I just want to break down and cry! My mother and mother in law, even wrote it in my birthday card. I dont want to disappoint anyone. My periods have gotten a little further apart over the year, and I went through 5 months of spotting. So once that stopped my husband and I decided we really want to try, so we have been trying for I guess 5 months now. I am just now starting vitamins and other alternative meds. Im kinda excited to try it all and want to tell everyone, but I want to keep it quiet.. so I just tell my husband lol. I want to wait til I am 10weeks along so I can surpise everyone, but getting pregnant is going to be the hard part.

So when people ask when we are going to have kids.. I always say "oh we are thinking 5 yrs from now

We kept it a secret, except my mother. DH's mother lives far away and don't want none. Well, she's uninvolved, but if we had told her, she'd just be full of useless stupid advice (relax) and cliche sayings. My mom was involved from the start because of the years of PCOS beforehand.

We actually didn't even tell anybody (except my parents) about the pg until week 24 (point of viability). I didn't want fake pity, useless sayings, and head pats if anything had gone wrong.

Well, DF's family knows that we are TTC because they are so supportive and keeps praying for us in church and offering advice. On the other hand, my side has no clue we are trying, mainly because they can be a little blunt and hurtful, and I just would rather keep it a secret. I have enough stress with TTC without people putting hurtful input in.
