Default Kellog's Red Berries and IR

Any thoughts on that cereal in the IR diet? I haven't finished reading the book but I think one cup has about 28 carbs. Thanks for any input.

I have never had that particular cereal, but as long as you don't eat anymore than 30 grms carbs, and link it with 14 grms of protein, I see no problem with it. I personally try to pick a cereal with at least 4 grms of fiber or higher. It will stick with you a lot longer. If I eat cereal that has only 1 or 2 grms of fiber, I am hungry an hour later. You may be different.

Enjoy.

It makes me jittery-- you definitely need more than milk to balance it out. I try for cereals that are mostly whole grain and have no added corn syrup and no sugar, like Uncle Sam's or shredded mini-wheats. (Though it took me a while to completely eliminate sugars without the cereal tasting gross... Cheerios are a good intermediate cereal.)
